Frequently asked questions

Yes, AskWell uses AskWell-generated FAQs on its own site. Meta, but honest.

How is AskWell different from other Shopify FAQ apps?

Two things. First, the AI actually reads your product data — descriptions, prices, options, metafields, vendor, type — so the FAQs are specific to each product, not generic. Second, the design polish. Most FAQ apps look like 2014. AskWell looks like a paid SaaS landing page. If you care how your storefront feels, that gap matters.

Will it slow down my storefront?

No. FAQs render inline on the initial page load via a theme app extension that reads from Shopify metafields directly. No app-proxy round-trip, no JavaScript framework, no extra requests. Performance is the same as if you'd hand-coded the section yourself.

Does it generate valid FAQPage schema for SEO?

Yes — every FAQ set ships with valid FAQPage JSON-LD so Google can surface your answers as rich results. This works on both product and collection pages.

Can I use different designs on product pages vs. collection pages?

Yes. Product FAQs and collection FAQs are independent — different templates, different colors, different copy, different custom AI instructions. Run Classic on product pages and Refined on collection pages if that's the look you want.

Can I edit the AI-generated FAQs?

Yes. Every generated FAQ is fully editable. You can also add, reorder, or delete questions. The AI is a starting point — you're always in control.

How does pricing work?

Free plan: 10 generations per 30-day rolling window, all four templates, with a small "Powered by AskWell" footer. Pro: $19.99/month or $199.99/year with a 14-day free trial — unlimited generations and the footer goes away. Billed through Shopify Managed Pricing so you don't enter a card in our app.

Is my data safe?

Yes. AskWell only reads the product and collection data needed to generate your FAQs, plus settings you configure in the app. We don't sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
